Here I am asking for good vibes again CoSo. Rei is back in the hospital. Hypercapnia again, possible respiratory failure again. He's not venting CO2 on his own properly. We've been waiting since August for news on a BiPap for him at home, but no one's called and he's failed again. I'm really scared this is going to be more cognitive damage this time.
Hoping it's not anywhere near as bad as in August.
Pneumonia is still hanging on it seems. Multiple antibiotics this time, aggressive treatment of the co2 buildup and possibly a much more complicated oxygen system at home. He's stable, but not safe yet.
Well, we got the diagnosis of the underlying problem with Rei. While tired to the original tumor, this is not completely a result of it. It's bad but not a lost cause. We now have an answer and a plan. See image for the basic info that I have permission to share.
Rei is 42 and never smoked. This stuff can still happen regardless.
