My father has been talking about this a lot. Very exciting! It's amazing how new technologies make it seem like we were blind before. Whole cities!

History will be rewritten.
They have almost all of the US covered with high resolution LiDar. USGS has been working on it for over 10 years. Mostly for redoing FEMA flood maps but finding a lot of other purposes too.

I'd love to see AI modeling of that! Yeah, the more we learn, the more we have to change what we thought we knew.
The US mapping sounds great! I still have USGS topos I bought in the '90s that were photorevised from the 60s. 😂
