@PaganMother @piquant00 they have ads on the website & the app, even with a paid subscription. I had no problem paying for the $104, when I first subscribed 3 years ago.
But the price now is ridiculous for how little I used it, not to mention how complicated it is to use the subscription, the app constantly logged me out, the website would never remember me.
I pay for WaPo and viewing the articles with my subscription just works, I can't remember the last time I had to login.
@crazyuncleharris @piquant00 Oof, I would like to say that publications should receive at least some compensation for the reporters work. If you do appreciate the services the news provides to inform and share on world events, do donate when you can to their organizations. Advertising should not be centric to funding putting the news to the world, but in our society and the way the economy currently is, donate if you are able to.
