1/2 Is it just me, or does no video game the first time you fire it up (or your settings go bye-bye)

Have no decent existing mixing of volume levels between game music and game audio?

While the developers were busy developing and playtesting, did none of them think to bring up game sound balancing??!? Do we not survey playtesters for that? Did one CEO once say this game needs music, and they dropped in an album from the world's best band at the time, so naturally <continues...>

, everyone was cool with it, and now every game developer just roles with it?

I just fired up RAFT for the first time cause why not, it was on my wishlist, and I got it for a gift this past holiday season.

So naturally, everything is loud, and I turn down the master. Now I can barely hear any game sounds. Still, the music is now at a level that compliments the gaming experience instead of me having to think about rushing to mute it.

It's not just RAFT that leaps to mind: GuildWars2, Minecraft, Borderlands, WoW, and most phone games.
All seem to possess poorly mixed or ill-thought-out default sound levels.

For raft right now, the master is at 6 percent, and the PC volume is maxed.
And the music slider at 100% is at the perfect sound level, as long as you don't mind hearing any SFX, UI, Ambience, or Notebook sounds!
