a youngish grandma (52) has 2 daughters.

1 kid, she has been caring for 2 rambunctious dogs for 3 yrs. this kid happens to travel a lot for her job & is away about 2-3 days midweek most weeks.

the other kid just had a baby & is returning to work soon (baby ~3 months).

grandma has chosen to quit her p/t job to care for grandbaby. during the week which means she can no longer take the dogs.

kiddo w/ the dogs is giving her mom the silent treatment & is angry as fuck.

and no, grandma can't/doesn't want to try and take care of the dogs along w/ the baby. it would be too much for her.

she has said that she would be happy to check on the dogs in the evening when kiddo is away.

but if you have a job that takes you away 2-3 days almost every week, why do you have dogs, esp ones that need a lot of care? like maybe your lifestyle & career choices are not conducive to dogs?

@singlemaltgirl At this point, the doggos actually are probably more bonded to "Grandma" than their putative owner.
