My head, it spins.
Someone very close to me believes that climate change is fake news. She claims "it doesn't matter anyway, because God is in control of Earth" so all will be fine.
I point out that her Bible clearly states that God gave Man dominion over Earth. She has no response.
I ask her about increasingly severe weather across the globe. She wallows in conspiracy, stating that obviously "someone malicious" has figured out how to control the weather, and is creating havoc.
{sigh}
@MidnightRider Thanks for the feedback, although I'm unsure what you meant when you say "let's say that you're right".
Right about what?
@MidnightRider I agree that it may be part of a natural cycle. 🙂
My point to her is that it is real, regardless of who or what is causing it.
My comment about Man was a reaction to her comment that "God is in control", a separate topic that is equally infuriating to me. I have never been OK with dismissing facts by responding with a reassuring sentiment (as she is).
And my head-spin came from the fact that she is willing to believe in contrails and weather control over facts.
Ugh!
@codeWhisperer Don't ever forget people like them drank Kool-Aid and died because Reverand Jim Jones said to do it. See also that Heaven's Gate psycho.
@codeWhisperer I meant the GOP, lets say climate change is a natural cycle. That doesn't dismiss urgent action to handle it, that was my point about NASA defecting asteroids in practice runs.
