This guy's voice is so distinctive. I sometimes think of Bowie when I first hear it, but I enjoy David Sylvian's music so much more. He's had quite the career (check out the band Japan, or his collabs with Ryuichi Sakamoto, or the reformed band Rain Tree Crow).
