I remember when seeing a flag displayed in someone's window made me proud, not suspicious.

I remember when the word "patriot" was something more noble, and did not imply ignorance and racism

I remember when "christians" applauded the separation of church and state, and held in contempt such things as nationalism, deceit, foolishness and selfishness (although admittedly I led a sheltered life in my youth).

Guess I'm an old now. Time to start wool-gathering and yelling at kids on my lawn.
