@Thumprhare @cmskiera I'm going to guess something related to the fact that (IIRC on multiple occasions) he has said he intends on acting "like a dictator" from day 1: arresting political opponents, deploying the military on American soil, & imposing totalitarian rule.

I'm pretty sure the odds of that triggering a civil war are high; military officers are required to refuse illegal orders, & if POTUS were issuing illegal orders + retaliating against refusals, it might trigger a full-on mutiny.

@Thumprhare @cmskiera After all, if you're legally required to refuse, but you see others who refuse are being arrested or even summarily shot (which is typical for a fascist takeover)... well, you have three choices:

A) Follow the illegal order against your conscience, & possibly hang later;

B) Refuse the illegal order peacefully & "disappear" or get shot;

C) Mutiny and have a shot at unseating the insane fascist issuing the blatantly illegal & immoral orders... or go down fighting.

I am/was an Officer, it’s more and actually less complicated then that…I wouldn’t worry about it immediately but potentially more insidiously over the next 10 years ….

If it were immediate I think it would be quashed fairly quickly bc he and his followers (legislators) are weak knees cowards….buuut…over time and replacement it could be an issue just like the courts.

I don’t know which is better frankly. I am sure there are more UTD military followers here that have ideas…all options seem to suck except the MIB zapper thing
