@cjtownsend Cats can be incredible surprises. Here are two: 1) I had a sleek charcoal grey cat and took him camping with me. Went out on a boat to go fishing and took him with. He jumped out of the boat 30 yards from shore and made it back to land before I could start the engine. 2) Different cat - many years later-a pond in Lincoln MA, we'd walk around it; about 7 mi. He would always keep me in a 50 yard radius. When time to go back home, I'd gesture to jump into my arms to leave. Magical being

Cats really are amazing. During my life I've been fortunate enough to have been "adopted" by 6 different ones. Maine Coon, Manx, Siamese, Persian plus 2 amazing 'mixed breed' fluffies. They each had their own specific personality, as you well know. I still, decades later, have positive thoughts about all of them - and still can remember their names...
