@ChampagneKitty I absolutely loved Underground Railroad. It was quite a read.
@cjewel It's my first read by this author. I've been wanting to read it ever since it came out, but I had to wait for a while until copies appeared on the used market at an affordable price. It's good, but it's also brutal.
@cjewel I'm glad that I read typically 5 books at a time because I need some balance. I can only read so much of lynchings, whippings, & the n-word. After about 50 pages, I switch to another book. 😓
