My hostas are coming up! They made it, which is nothing short of a miracle for me of the brown thumb.
@Studio_M_ Sounds like experience speaking. 😄. I don’t use any weed spray, my brother sprayed around my fence and yard the first summer I was here and I spent most of the summer keeping the dog away from those areas. He never did it again.
I figure there’s always a purpose for most weeds, as long as they aren’t poisonous to my animals, I let it all be. Half my back yard is weeds thanks to the pool the former occupants had.
@Studio_M_ This doesn’t mean I don’t chop them down, I do. They also encourage ticks
Which my dog and I don’t need.
@Studio_M_ And yes, any plant that can thrive on neglect is my kind of plant! This fall I’m getting bulbs from the same friend who gave me (and planted for me) the hostas. She has to dig up the ones she wants to save because she’s getting about 3 inches of soil removed from her yard this summer (hopefully, they keep postponing) because her house is near an old smelting plant and the soil is basically toxic.
@cjcrew - I LOVE hostas ! ! !
They're great. Ya just have ta be
really careful if you use any kinda stuff like weed-&-feed, etc...
You don't wanna get that any where
near them! I'm just sayin' 😉👍🏴☠️
