@cjcrew @TwiHusband I don’t drink but my family doesn’t gather much either. My mom just starts yelling she’s getting heartburn and I stop talking for a moment and change the subject completely. So does she.
She is 100% certain the election was stolen from him, that’s my are you stupid button and we start up. I love her but she’s not the same person as she has aged.
If I can deal with her, nobody online even phases me now.
@SatuUnelmia @TwiHusband We do major holidays and if I could get my coworker to share Thanksgiving hours with me I’d be down to just Christmas.
Thanksgiving is with my brother’s in-laws and they’re nice people but they are people and I’d rather stay home. But it’s a major holiday and etiquette dictates you be social of you get visited by three ghosts.
@cjcrew @TwiHusband my brother and sister took different routes than I did in life, they are very republican. They are very involved in the community with successful businesses. We don’t argue though. If any of us asks to change the topic, we just move on. It’s actually great in that area.
