@TwiHusband The problem is human nature. We have a tendency to think we are correct and anyone who thinks differently is wrong.
@TwiHusband You are right. The actual text does not say to behave in the way you see too many behave, but it’s a useful tool to misrepresent in order to gain control over those who believe that version.
The Bible is a Rorschach test. How it’s interpreted says more about the humans involved than anything else. It’s a dangerous book in the hands of the wrong people.
@cjcrew The assholes in our government wouldn't be there without tens of millions of #ChristoFascists casting votes. The problem isn't god in government. The problem is god in civilized society. The problem is tens of thousands of preachers spouting bullshit from their pulpits.
