So I sent a package the other day that was supposed to be delivered yesterday Yesterday, I got a text from USPS saying that there was an issue with the address and a link which did go to the real USPS site. But....the text came from +44 7907 774687 which is UK code.
Yes, I did check the link but not the number before looking into it
Long story short, I tried to do due diligence but not sure if I just did an amateur move 🤷

@chuck34108 Be careful. This sounds like a known spoof. I get these a lot and both local news and Google has told me USPS does not text. If you are signed up for mail notices through USPS, they will email. Clicking links in texts from unknown numbers is risky.

@chuck34108 I’ll add generally don’t text. I see it was regarding a sent package. If you provided a phone number, they can to advise of delivery so I’m correcting myself. The advice I saw was to check the regular website independent from the text or call.

@SaltyVeruca yes, I'm usually the one giving diere warnings to everyone else. One of those lapses because I did have a package set to be delivered yesterday. I did quickly lock down my card and kicked myself.

@chuck34108 You’re probably fine. The kicker is that it’s a package you sent. I rarely send so I’m already getting them for ones I’m expecting. It’s a hassle to check outside of the text itself but that’s probably what they’re counting on. We all do it. Hope everything’s ok.
