Honestly I've never quite gotten the ppl that are prolife but have exceptions. If I understand it, you're prolife because you think that every baby has a soul & plan that is designed by god. So, he must already know that the pregnancy will be terminated & maybe that is his plan or are we able to muck up his plan because he doesn't know? If he does know then rape, incest, life of the mother are part of his plan & there should be no exceptions, let the cards be dealt (the dealer is cheating).
@chuck34108 This will cause a few short-circuits amongst the believers 🤭🤭🤭
@TgedTGamer there's always some pretzel logic to work out the religious illogic
@chuck34108 How can God have your life planned out if everyone is given free will?
The one thing I’ve learn in life is no matter how well you plan something (thinking of all possibilities) while you’re planning there is always something that doesn’t go according to the plan.🤷♀️
@KimberlyReynolds I hear it's the free will that screwed us all up. we just follow along we'd be on our way to the pearly gates
@chuck34108 Just goes to prove God has an evil sense of humor. We are all doomed.
@chuck34108 in Catholicism at least you've got the doctrine of "original sin"--the default destination for a soul is hell b/c it's tainted by original sin.
To escape that fate you've got to be baptized. Once you develop morally to the point where you can be held responsible for your actions you've also got to not sin, or seek forgiveness when you do.
(I am very much not defending this view--just explaining what I was taught as a child)
@rpardee oh I was brought up to speed on that too.
Well I am very much pro choice but my feeling is that if you're going to be prolife you need to be prolife full on. Otherwise you're saying that God's making some mistakes up there
