memories of my 1st womens’ march: 2015. A few weeks after giving birth (the only time, *successfully*- I was fully aware) - I had just given birth to a beautiful boy. I was excited and scared for his future. I was terrified of my niece's future. I read Margaret Atwood. I watched handmaid's tale. Fuck this. My sign this year *in spirit*: "they cannot burn us - we were made of fire." I’ll miss you tomorrow ladies, my kid has soccer. But I’m with you. The patriarchy isn’t going to fight itself✊🏽
