Now that Thune is the leader of the Senate, he has to keep his colleagues in line during votes that could cost them at the midterms. So, the task will always be: what's better for re-election or in satisfying Trump.
@Liliki That is ugly. I am hoping Biden rams as many judges as possible before he's out.
@carmen So do I, though trump has already addressed that possibility and ordered Senate republicans to block everything they can.
@carmen The worrisome part is that he's already agreed to allow trump recess appointments. Which means trump will be able to appoint the worst, most extremist yahoos in any position he chooses.
