Recent Gallup poll on the importance of vaccinating children, comparing Dems and Repub. This is not good.
@catlynne333 @carmen they already are. They already are.
@carmen This shows the effect of online mis- and disinformation. People often believe what they see in print, especially if it's from a source they regard as authoritative, trustworthy, and which affirms previously held beliefs or confirms doubts, without bothering to check if it's correct. The Internet has made it stupidly easy and cheap for bad actors to push false narratives about almost any subject to millions of people in minutes with the push of a button.
@carmen I am the 1% that didn't get chicken pox as a kid. I guess I'll look into getting Vax, next doc visit.
@Ruthat I got chicken pox as a kid when my aunt, in her home spun wisdom, decided I should play with my neighborhood friend who was infectious. Anyway, fast forward to now, I have dutifully gotten the shingles vaccines because I don’t want to risk getting shingles.
@carmen My parents were anti pox parties like why would you intentionally make your kid miserable.
@Ruthat It is very dangerous to expose children to diseases. With chicken pox, some of the side effects are devastating like deafness.
@carmen Wow guess the dems will be vaccinated and not get disease like small pox polio and the GOP will be a drain on society with all their diseases
