@UnTied 😂 that is funny. Was just checking out the calendar for the rest of the school year & I was ever so happy that there will be no school on 4/20 this year. I can’t even begin to tell you what a challenge teaching is on that day annnd I was teaching on the day of Columbine and that always floats across my consciousness on that day. That day changed everything.

@carmahaz I dont remember if you r from CO. I was at work at went to my car for a cig break. I turned on the radio and heard. My daughters were at school abt 20 miles north Of Columbine. I called their school and the lines were jammed. I did manage to get thru, and they were on lockdown. No one in nor out. I was panicking, thinking of my girls' panicking. I knew one thing. My younger was wanting to hug me. Older dghtr, pity the fool. She is gunnin' for you! 🤣 😉

@UnTied No, I’m a crazy CA girl but I teach & the news was on and it changed all. I had kids in school at that time too. Though I am connected to Colorado, my sister is professor at Pike’s Peak & my binlaw is deputy historian @ Peterson.

@carmahaz Right on! I cannot believe we got rec pot b4 You Guys! Haha! But the Columbine ordeal, WoW! I was about six miles from where it happened. I worked at a wholesale florist, and retail flowers shops began stocking up on flowers and plants. Wife & I also owned a retail flower shop. We took several boxes of flowers out and handed out free bouquets for people to lay at the makeshift memorial. The heaviness in the air was awful. It felt black & white - -like Moscow - or Oklahoma 😉
