Have a little AC here, and it can do the job sometimes. But today and tomorrow it just won't be up to the task. So I put a big fan in the window at one end of the house and another one at the other end and have them pulling air through. It's not cool air, but it's moving air.
If the windows were closed the house would heat up too quickly for the AC to handle it. When it's 10 degrees cooler outside the temp in the house still climbs when it's just the AC on.

@CannibalHoliday @butch my best success with whole house exhaust was a fan in the attic blowing out and a single window open in the room where the people are.
@butch neat! I made a little shelf in front of the window frame last night to hold the fan at this end of the house. There's good flow across the entire floor from the south end.
Because of the placement of the aquarium stand I can't move the fan any farther from the window though.
