One benefit of counter social is this is an opt-in community that, as far as I can see, considers it virtuous to examine and reflect before posting, which should help minimize the spread of BS. Also, @th3j35t3r does a good job of making it hard on hostile powers like Russia to steer the dialog.

Still learning this and other systems away from the birdsite. Not sure if I will totally leave Twitter, it plays an important role in open source intelligence. But will definitely be spending more time on counter social and also defcon social.

I don't spend enough time at Counter Social. I think I should keep it always open. There are no loonies or crazies here, and no Russian puppets (at least none I have ever detected).

There are many reasons for the public to track the Russia attack against Ukraine, of course. We should all be informed of reality so we can pressure elected officials to do the right thing. But also we should think about what it means for making better personal decisions. And businesses should think about their risk profile, even if they operate far away from the theater.
