As I reviewed the election map here in CA this morning, I am struck once again by the vast differences living on the Coast makes. Blue v Red maps are so discouraging. How can things be that cut and dried when we all share the same air and water? Elections are bad for my heart. Nunes winning his district by 11 points is beyond understanding. At least Rohrabacher is running behind Rouda. No winner yet, tho. Fingers crossed.
@bettr Nunes winning is not a surprise when you look at the countryside in his district. It is stuffed full of conservatives who think he is some sort of hero doing a bang-up job.
@bettr My mother-in-law's cousin is a Nunes supporter. He is one of those guys that thinks that John Wayne was a real person, and he is horribly star-struck. He carries around a photo of him shaking hands with Nunes at some fund-raiser. I told my mother-in-law to watch what happens to that photo when Devin's collar is felt next year. I bet blustering cousin will soon be having an attack of amnesia.
