Earlier today someone posted on here that deactivating an account in twitland makes your previous handle available for use by anyone in 30 days, so people can impersonate you by using your old handle. He recommended re-joining, wiping data, locking the account, and then letting the account "rot." I need more info about the wiping and locking. Does anyone have more info on this? Thanks so much!

@OrnamentalHermit All I know is I've tried to get rid of my Facebook account for years and it doesn't seem to go away. I have no idea what to do with the Twitter account.
