Need a diversion from the "weights of the World" week underway?
There's a bike race going on that media always ignores, the "Race Across America" from S. California to the east coast (Atlantic City this year).
The riders depart as in a Time Trial, and it is "non-stop" >> the lowest total accumulated time wins. Each racer has their own crew following, preparing meals and short naps are at their own pace & choice.
I ❤️❤️ this race because it goes past my driveway every year (Hwy 160)

@zenmudprod love this race. Was a cycle mechanic when they made the mistake of inviting Lon Haldeman, a cycle mechanic, to fill out the field. And he crushed them. Rode asleep, ate pizza while riding. Legend.
