I need some advice from tech folx who do *hardware* things with computers. I'm going to replace the charging port on my laptop, as soon as I receive the part. But I discovered (when I got the wrong one) that the bracket that holds the actual jack in place is sort of un-removable. The screw seems to be stripped :/ I know how to remove one from something less delicate, but not a laptop. Any ideas?

@wolfwoman I would carefully drill a small hole straight down into the head, and send an extractor bit into that hole.

OR, use a bit the size of the screw head to just erase that head. More risk.

@b4cks4w Thanks for the ideas! I wish I had my dad's old Yankee drill. Power drills seem too powerful for such a delicate job!

@wolfwoman it is careful work for sure. Steady, slow rpm is the way.
