TBH, I'm writing an entry for an encyclopedia of social psych on electronic communication. Deciding that when I mention Twitter, I need to also mention CoSo b/c I don't know how much longer the bird app is going to last.
@AnitaBlanchard cool. Having seen many platforms endure or not, my humble suggestion is to also categorize (of course you are) them so the future reader can relate to whatever is the medium of the day. Asynchronous Anonymous Micro-blog, what have you. Otherwise they may have to crack the history books. E.g. Geocities, Compuserve (1969!)
ALSO of course coso will be around in 50 years but assuredly will be different in ways we can't predict.
