Renewable energy provided > 25% of electricity in the US for the first half of 2022, per new data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Biomass, geothermal, hydropower, wind, and solar increased their electrical output by 18.45% from the first half of 2021.

Renewables outproduced coal and nuclear power by 28.76% and 38.81%, respectively.
