In the 1980s a company, PC Pursuit, made it possible to avoid long distance* telephone calls to dial in** to thousands of BBS systems***.

@b4cks4w I remember all this, I started working in High Tech, hard disc drives in particular, in 1976. What changes have occurred since is astounding.

@b4cks4w The Hewletts and Packards that were around when I started would be disgusted by the Silicon Valley of today.
