Score one for the happiest place on earth, the part of Florida where you CAN say gay.

That Disney and the former board thought to include provisions that the government and any board governing the special tax district CANNOT use any Disney trademark names or fictional characters (Hi! Mickey) for anything is interesting. Was DeSantis planning to use the smiting of Disney power in any, ahem, future political campaigns? Like maybe 'vote for the man who smote Gay Disney'?

I have to consider the very pro-big-corporate-interests DeSantis might have been hoping to use his tilting at Disney windmills as evidence to voters that he will protect the little people against giant corporations who insist on protecting the gay people. He is just that (trump) kind of jerk to rely on planned visuals rather that anything that might help solve real problems faced by real people.

Game on and score one for the old board and Disney. Now. let us keep an eye on the legal shenanigans DeSantis' side tries to pull to override a binding contract. We know it'll happen because GOP fascists don't recognize laws.

@attilatheblond the new board already signed a multi-million dollar engagement contract with DeSantis former college roommate's law firm. To find ways to annul the agreements, but I expect Disney to prevail since they are playing sensei level chess to DeSantis beginners luck plays.
