@Sassypants0210 Resorted to getting one of those PVC lattice fencing panels, turned horizontal and curved to enclose the tree in a corner to keep my cat from chomping the wires and electrocuting himself/burning house down. It works. Will try to figure out how to post picture of it here later. Made some wooden 'feet' to hold it up.

@Sassypants0210 Will see if I can fire up the old tablet and access the photos for you. Used a circular saw to cut six 2X6x18 inch pieces of a board I has, and my drill press to put bolt holes thru them. Bolted the pairs together, on each side of the fencing. Stable but flexible and at 4', tall enough to keep my 10 year old cat from jumping it, wobbly enough to discourage him from trying to climb. Two years now, no problem.
