It's been a year already since the Comic Jam Hawaii Talk Story | Draw Story exhibit a the Downtown Arts Center in Honolulu. It was a lot of work and like the proverbial herding of cats but we pulled it.
It was a great experience and I'm glad I got to share it fellow artists friends.
Since then I've been invited to couple other shows. Now I guess I need to figure out how to weasel my way into getting a solo show. Probably not gonna happen, but I'm not dead yet so there's a chance.
@nonayadambidnes Not that I've met, but circle is very small in the grand scheme of things.
I did a google search and found a Ken Dang that collects comic art and does some himself but nothing major.
@artildawn I don't remember that clearly (it was a long time ago!) but that doesn't really look like his work, I remember he did sort of full panels/pages. Maybe I'm not remembering his name right either but I think it was because I remember people used to look at his drawings and say Ken....DANG that's good lol.
@nonayadambidnes if you look though his profile he has some strips. There's also caricatures of him done by others so you might see if looks like him.
@artildawn Thanks, it's been like 35 years so I doubt I'd even recognize him if he walked through my door and sat down and said "Hi, I'm Ken Dang!" 😄
@artildawn Just curious in the comic book world if you ever came across an artist named Ken Dang? He was in my high school (in Canada) and was an amazing artist even back then.
I just suddenly thought of him and wondered if he ended up doing it professionally.
