Oh my, I am the last one to offer culinary advice :--) I am constitutionally incapable of following a recipe. I am improvising all the time.
Luckily, eggnog seems to be quite resilient and any variation works.
I took whatever recipe I found appealing (i.e. easy), e.g. on Food Network.. Also some good variations here on Coso, Thyghe has a good one. I used lactose free milk, and Splenda. Rum and some leftover vodka ( a lit bit,ok, why throw it away :--) ). Easy, trust me.
