Whenever I see toots re: covid19 marked as "Sensitive content", I cannot stop but appreciate the sender's thoughtfulness.

Stressful times impact people in many and profound ways. This is going to be a marathon.

Ultimately, what sustains us is not information. It's kindness, empathy, communicating with the other in mind.

Being kind and thoughtful, at that very moment of tooting or boosting, is that attribute that always makes me smile, with admiration and appreciation.

I try to post funny, silly, cheerful things.

When that dark cloud is enveloping you, a sudden, unexpected laugh can make a big difference.

Even momentarily, it helps.

Oddly enough, as an introvert with serious depressive issues, I’m incredibly content with an empty calendar, for the foreseeable future.

As everything in life, I think it's a matter of balance. Some news and absurdities are ok for most. Some level of expressed anger, disbelief, can be fine, if not quite 'good'. I for one, enjoy some screaming :--) Am not arguing for Pollyanna. Am arguing for that moment of consideration before disseminating macabre stories. I w'd feel sorry to see people being turned off bcz of those. When someone manifests discerning thoughts, that's awesome.

There’s a fascinating trend, where I am.

As of now, we have 460 cases, in a population of 180K.

The county west of us has roughly 100K more people, and 1,493 cases.

The county east of us has double our population, and 4,098 cases.

Seems the county where I live is flattening the curve.

We’ve had gains of 20-40 in a day, not exploding exponentially.

I know there are approximately 12 hospitals, just in my city, surrounding area.

So far so good.
