It can be quite lonely with a family nest of narcs. And it’s hard to build your own family.
Grey rock 🪨 is effective though I’ve found that you still have to internally process the narc’s triggers even when you don’t externally take the bait with the reaction they want..

Just seeing me happy while I walk round not giving a crap what my birth parents are doing is more than enough for me at my point in healing, mostly because I know it drives them batty.
Both parents have their share of enablers. It's like one giant cult minus the fancy name.
I escaped the cult. It was not easy but I did it.
