if not trudeau, then who could lead the liberal party to some kind of victory in the next election?

@singlemaltgirl What do you think about Mark Carney as Trudeau’s successor? I like Sean Fraser but think he needs a bit more experience. Carney has serious economic credentials.

@anita_rotheram he def has econ credentials, and he speaks fluent french. he also has the ability to hold a room. he understands climate issues and inequality in financial controls. he would not be a bad choice.

i'd just really like to see a woman.

@singlemaltgirl Oh I totally agree & I think Freeland is qualified but not electable. Whoever goes on the ballot must be able to defeat Poilievre, and Freeland is bundled hard in the anti-Trudeau sentiment. Anand and Joly have bright futures but like Fraser need more experience.

@singlemaltgirl I really like Karina Gould too, she is so articulate but so young.

@anita_rotheram i had high hopes for chrystia. she is so smart, so articulate, so polished. but you're right - she is tainted w/ trudeau. she couldn't beat pp.

anand would be awesome. but doesn't have the party votes. and i'm not sure she's fluent in french.

joly has the language but isn't very articulate and gets easily tripped up.
