I started thinking about the necessity of political debates.
Once upon a time a debate was the only way you could get the candidate information and comparison to the masses. Now it is essentially nothing more than truncated stump speeches with a hopefully viral zinger or two.
The current format sanitizes bad behavior by silencing the mic of the non-speaking candidate. Rude comments and tantrums, key behavioral reg flags, are eliminated.
I'm thinking we don't need this now.
