It's been obvious for a while that the Republicans don't care about governing and have no guiding philosophy; they just throw red meat to their base and say things that get them on Fox.
But if they don't want to govern, what is power for? Apparently, it's all about winning. They care so much about winning that, once they have the power, they'll rig the system so that they can choose their opponents, choose their voters, and choose which ballots they want to count.

@DavidSalo it's not so much winning power - it's winning on the increasing size of their portfolios. Greed is their motivation. They're selling a bizarre morality to religious fanatics. They have no interest in real governing.
