this have been a common request ever since pro was introduced (not sayin I was the first to ask, but maybe)...it's harder than it would seem...J is aware folks would like this, and if he can figure out a way to do it in a secure and supportable way, we'll get it...so far...no such...

So since payment isn't handled in house it would need to be a an option with the payment processor to allow others to pay. I'm not sure we are big enough to request such a feature from another company yet. =/

Well that's an idea, too ๐
I admit that it would suck to gift a sub only to have the person given the sub get themselves booted, but it would just be one of the risks of doing it, IMO. Use legal language to cover it.
Another way to go, tho, a Donor Box option which is a one-time, non-refundable gift to CoSo that sponsors a named acct. The account ban = lost money just means you've now converted your gift over to keep CoSo running, & there's no recurring payment problem.

Well if they get banned, they get banned. Crap happens. Once you give a gift it's done. You don't control the gift after ownership is transferred.

IIRC, Jester has been trying to work out a way to do this, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to see if it helps to tag this so he knows you'd like to have the option.
#FeatureRequest : gift subscriptions for other CoSo accounts than your own.
If you want to also use J's @, that's your call.
