Hey all you crazy CoSoNuts! I miss you all! Work has been an absolute ball buster and I’m still working on the outside of my house. The weather here hasn’t contributed much to outside stuff and it’s dragging.. anyway just wanted to pop in and say I haven’t forgotten about this wonderful place and I hope you all are well❤️

So I did some research and there is still a home builder in this area called Place Construction. I wrote an email to the owner and sent a picture of the plate. He wrote back and said the company was started by his grandfather, passed down to his father, and he has now taken it over. Cool piece of history!

Found this on the corner of my garage under the siding! Was covered with 70 years of paint but I soaked it in paint thinner for about 45 minutes, got most of it off. Did another coat for half an hour and ended up with this! It’s going right back where it was as soon as the painting is done!

Well the “which paint for the house” question was answered today. I picked up my grandkids from school, and my 12 year old granddaughter walked out back, saw the colors, pointed at number #1, and said “Nana that would look really nice. It would make the house blend in with the trees and make it look like it belonged in the woods”. She wins..

Possible exterior house colors:

#1 is a deep gray based green, much like the color I suspect the house was back in the 50’s/60’s

#2 kind of an ashy gray

#3 darker gray

#4 obviously a blue based gray

Taking votes! I have one I’m leaning toward but wanna see what others think

Got some more of the aluminum siding off today. Got the garden addition ready to plant tomorrow. Found a possible paint color for the house. Talked to a very knowledgeable guy at the home store about power washing, painting the house, etc. It was a good day😄

Are any of you seeing the cicadas yet? Northern Indiana and we have none. Daughter in southern Indiana has them all over
