So livid! My mother's dog was almost attacked by the neighbours dog. Why? Well the lazy bums doesn't put leashes on their animals, and they don't even let them do their business in the backyard -ONLY - in the front yard. My nephew ( adult man ) was outside and that was pure luck cause if it was my mom it could have gone badly, he shouted and scared the other dog. Owner just grabbed the dog, didn't apologise - just vanished indoors. And this isn't the first time it acted aggressive either
@POOetryma Swedish Laws are different, and my mom is a bit to kind and considerate about others ( while I am not, so I would within seconds call the cops ). She wants to talk to them first. Here you have to have a leash within urban areas, and you have to have leash in spring due to baby animals. So no matter how they twist it, the neighbours are in the wrong. So frustrating!
@Zolah This happened with our puppy and our neighbor's dog off leash, in our yard. Really glad your nephew successfully intervened.
Some people are just awful. :(
@EveMary oh gosh ! That's terrible! I don't understand why some people are so inconsiderate of both others and animals.
I'm glad I'm calming down now thou cause I truly saw red, if I lived closer I would probably run over and give them a piece of my mind or more. If it was my mom instead of my nephew she could get hurt and her dog possibly unalived.
@Zolah The next time you see that dog running loose w/o a leash, call animal control or police. If it comes on your property, you may be justified in killing it, in order to protect yourself and others. Check the law in your area first before you decide to take such a drastic step. If the threat is immediate, do what you gotta do.
