Apparently you can't moderate and you're not "nice" either.

Said someone on tw@ttwr with clearly no sense of irony 😜

@Zailrand He's a strange guy. Went on and on for years about the bird not 'verifying' him. I tried to reason with him (the bird offered to verify me, I declined!) saying 'who cares?' and he just continued, at least once a day, doing these threads about how his whole life revolved around being verified. It was a bit sad to be honest. But it got tiring, so I unfollowed!

@Florence @Zailrand When I first saw him pop up here, I recognized his handle but couldn't really remember why I'd blocked him on 🐦. But I remember now. His identity is wrapped up in rage farming his followers and he gets off on engaging in arguments simply to be mad. We're not quite as reactive as he's used to. He'd rather support EM as long as he can keep getting his fix.

@Agatha @Zailrand There are so many like that. I just assume they have nothing whatsoever in their real lives. For me, I have more than enough sh*t to deal with in real life, I don't come online to find more! It's just too exhausting! πŸ˜‚

@Florence @Zailrand

I had a group of people there I hung out with daily. Some came here. Some stayed. Some are splitting their time. It's not the same, and I miss that. But not enough to go back. I put up a note a few days before I deactivated my account so they'd know where to find me if the wanted to. 🀷

@Agatha @Zailrand That's pretty much what I did. I locked my account first and then just said 'this is where I am if you'd like to stay in touch'. xx

@Florence @Zailrand

I locked it first, as well. That seemed to trigger a sudden surge of friend requests, too. πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚
