Oh no! I have to physically manifest at work tommorrow... This would not be a massive issue but I have managed to give myself a really appalling haircut (some bits are waaaaytoo short) and am now unsure what to do so perhaps you could all help me?

@Mauve_matelot it appeared to not be noticed but since then work has gones tits up via badly managed change process and I'm now about to be redundant (long story... Almost certainly nowt to do with my hair...)

@Zailrand The summer heatwave warnings combined with the catering shifts were rather scary, I am glad my husband was able to collect me from work and we returned later to collect my bicycle once things cooled down about 5 hours after my shift ended.
How did your tree peony cope with our crazy Summer?

Tree peony was mainly over flowering by the time the mega heat hit. Got pretty wilty like everything else but I think it'll be ok...
@Mauve_matelot the cold damp cloth thing really helps :)
@Zailrand I got the idea from watching some speed walkers on the TV, when they got to a water station one guy soaked his cloth and did well.
@Zailrand my boss was very mindful of looking after the staff on the hot days, provided free slushy and squash on shift and had time limits on how long anyone could do cooking.
I found having a cold damp cloth around my neck helped me too.
My garden is doing alright but I know I need to do a final tidy-up before the soggy weather and short days really set in.
