@AirRation which bit are you in 2 minds about? My view is very proUBI because I think it would solve many things currently going on - esp the panic buying. Also I fundementally believe we should support people, not markets.

I reholstered so as not to go off about the hypocrisy and backpedaling of the architects of impoverishment and needless claimant deaths.
It was "fine" they insisted, that the poorest people could live on 70 quid a week, but now saying that is not enough. So much chaos, despair and suffering could have been alleviated this last decade.
Not sure UBI would sort panic buying. It's those with cash to spend who are doing it the most. But it's still a + idea.
@AirRation UBI plus some of the controls the supermarkets are introducing on multiple goods would work... Luckily I haven't needed to go shopping since all this kicked off...
