I can't imagine Canada is very happy about the US travel ban. It may increase traffic through Canadian airports as people attempt to get to their destination. So, yeah.
Deputy Prime Minister Chystia Freeland said she's like to have a serious conversation with the US about how friends/neighbours behave. Freeland immediately contacted the US Ambassador and many others - so conversations are ongoing now. Let me just say, Chrystia Freeland's face tells a story. Like it or not, she is pissed.
@Anemone This is a fear for the UK too....
@Zailrand
The truth is the US is out of control. They missed so many opportunities to test people and respond promptly. Trumpo acts all protectionist but it's us that needs protection from his decisions.
*Apologies to my American friends here who feel the same way, this isn't about you, it's about the admin which I know you also hold accountable. I just need to have my voice.
@redbarchetta3 @Anemone don't rely on BBC for UK stuff - also look at Guardian, Byline Times, Channel 4. In fact if you cab access Channel 4 news that's prob best UK news atm. I get most of my news online e from multiple sources these days an unfortunately BBC has taken on an increasing govt bias :(
@redbarchetta3 @Anemone it's probably best UK news prog atm. BBC newnight has its moments but not when they have Nigel bloody Farridge on to talk about #coronavirus. If you want to see a handpicked audience of mainly fuckwit Brexit supporters from UK tune into BBC Question time... Unsurprisingly I don't. If you follow the bbqt hashtag on twitter on a Thursday night it's pretty much the same effect... 😂😅
@Zailrand @Anemone Thanks for the suggestions, we just started watching Channel 4, it's been popping up in the YouTube recommendations.
