For all (!) those wondering what happened with yesterday's DIY hating spouse activity to fix broken letterbox this is what our letterbox looks like today...

After a while of trying to fit the new letterbox and us getting increasingly grumpy I measured the screws and found our they were too short and therefore it would never fit... Spouse off to buy new letterbox today that will fit...
