@YouInMyEye more like my cautious optimism got whiplash this week.
I had an unjustified optimism.
@YouInMyEye multiple bomb threats in Georgia, caged voters, ethnic cleansing of voter roles, years of Right wing priming (conspiracies, fear of other, making the GOP perceived as the man party, and more). There was more at play. Harris was a good candidate and if I were to assign fault to her it would be having a rocky start with presenting policies and not making distinction between Trump and his supporters (not the freak show at his rallies, but the soft support). And so it goes.
I liked her but she entered the race very late and whatever comes with such late entrance, eg last minute preparation/strategy, I'm sure couldn't compare with the sly snake and cohorts' well-planned strategy... who's to know...
And we didn't really have much of Blue Waves going in my opinion except for her last minute surge of enthusiasm at the rallies.
I was bright eyed and ready to celebrate...
