It's not the clothes that make you cool. You have to be cool to look good in the clothes.
@AskTheDevil @YouInMyEye I remember reading something about his ex wife (the one that's a writer) saying that he wanted to dress a certain way because he wanted to look like an engineer, and the 'look' part stood out to me when i read that, because it showed he wasn't genuine in what clothes he chose to wear (which then makes you question if he's genuine in anything else).
People who are more concerned with looks than reality are often so concerned because they are liars, or because they are unequipped or uninclined to accept reality.
