Maybe the problem is trying to address shenanigans instead of the real likelihood we'll be at war with each other if these people get back in. Or God forbid the real big pandemic strikes (COVID wasn't it) or we become a satellite of Russia, end up at war with China... Trump can't deal with any of these and neither can his minions. They could also totally collapse the economy. TFG is no financial genius. He's a racketeer.

Perhaps you are right.
You'd be shocked at what they (my friends and my extended family... I grew up among them.) believe to be the absolute truth. Obviously they only watch Fox News bc otherwise they would have some inkling as to the existence of alternative facts.
