Is buying a cheaper grill to save a couple of $100 from the cost of a Weber grill worth it?

@YouInMyEye I've had a few gas grills. One Char-Broil, one from Costco, and the current Weber that I'm running with NG from the house supply. Functionally, they've been similar. I'd just suggest looking at whether replacement burners and flame deflectors are available and reasonably-priced. The Weber burners have lasted longer than the others, the enameled deflectors died after 5 years. Stainless steel flame deflectors are a plus. I also like uncoated cast iron grates. FWIW.

What do you think about wood pellet grills? Most of them are way out of my price range... but there are a few in the $550-$700 range.

The last Pit Boss grill interests me. Watch the video. Btw, if this makes any sense, these have MAGA vibe to them, no? 🤣 Seriously though, it sounds fantastic!

@YouInMyEye I dunno, I don't take it MAGA so much as over the top sports culture marketing, if we're looking at the same video. I do like the concept of grilling and smoking in the same unit, though. The price seems reasonable, but I'd have to check on pellet costs/usage, I guess. Not sure about that part of it vs propane, NG, or charcoal. There have to be a pretty wide range of options, though. @QueenOfEverything
